Feminist and Human Rights Activist
Zo Randriamaro is a feminist and human rights activist and researcher from Madagascar. She is a sociologist by training and has published several papers on gender, economic, trade and global governance issues. She has served as an expert on these issues for international development organisations, including the major United Nations (UN) agencies. She was the former manager of the Gender and Economic Reforms in Africa (GERA) regional programme, and is an Associate of the international network Development Alternatives for Women in a New Era (DAWN). She is the founder and Coordinator of the Research and Support Centre for Development Alternatives – Indian Ocean, and the Chair of the Board of Fahamu Africa, a Pan-African organisation committed to human rights and social justice.
