Ambassador Amina Mohamed is the Foreign Minister of Kenya. She is the first woman to hold this position and the first woman to chair the governing General Council of the World Trade Organization, the Dispute Settlement Body and the International Organization for Migration as well as President of the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime.
She has served Kenya as Director for Europe and the Commonwealth Division as well as Director for Diaspora Affairs in the Foreign Ministry as well as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs.
Before her appointment as Cabinet Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Amina worked as the United Nation’s Assistant Secretary General and Deputy Executive Director of UNEP.
